Mitacs is pleased to host a panel at this year’s Congress of the Humanities and Social Sciences in Ottawa, May 30-June 5, 2015.
Join us for an interactive session on Capitalizing on Research: From Idea to Impact on June 1, 2015 in Ottawa.
The panel will examine how academic discovery leads to tangible outcomes and societal benefits through the presentation of a Mitacs-facilitated research project case study. The panelists will share their experiences regarding their collaborations and their thoughts on the importance of SS&H research, and how academic-industry collaborations help bring that research to the public at large.
For the latter part of this session, Mitacs will encourage an interactive discussion between panelists, attendees, and Mitacs representatives, including Mitacs’ new CEO, Alejandro Adem. This part of the panel session will incorporate a reception-theme with light refreshments and drinks and will encourage further informal discussion with the attendees.
The School of Graduate Studies at McMaster University is holding an information session on the Mitacs Globalink program on June 3, 2015, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.
Rebecca Bourque, Director of Strategic Accounts and Business Development for Mitacs, will be on hand to discuss the program and answer questions.
