The Networking and Technical Training Program provides funding and organizational support for networking and training initiatives in our partner provinces that reach beyond the mathematical sciences community. Specific programs include:
-
Hot Topic Activities: These short-term, one-time activities tackle current industrial and societal issues
-
Graduate Training Events: These novel initiatives augment the normal training provided to graduate students and postdoctoral fellows
-
Industrial Problem Solving Workshops: Teams of academics and/or students work together for a minimum of a week on real-world problems presented by non-academic organizations
-
Focus Periods: Programs of activities over an extended period (minimum 3 months) in an area of strategic importance to the province(s) where the program takes place.
