Premier Christy Clark talks with Indian undergraduate, high school students about BC post-secondary education

BC Premier Christy Clark concluded her visit to India today with a town hall meeting in Delhi, hosted by Mitacs CEO Arvind Gupta, where she highlighted the educational and research opportunities in British Columbia to some of India’s brightest students.

The event included former Mitacs Globalink interns, high school students from Delhi Public School R.K. Puram, local dignitaries and BC university representatives. The students asked about everything from the quality of BC universities to the temperatures they could expect in Canada during the winter months.

“When you come to our province, it’s an opportunity for us to share knowledge. Everyone of you who goes into a Canadian classroom teaches a global perspective to the students. You bring a different experience and knowledge of the world that wouldn’t otherwise be there,” said Premier Clark while speaking to the students. “Mitacs has been a real trailblazer in making this happen. And I want to recognize and congratulate Mitacs for they work that they do.”
