Internship Title:Product Development Engineer
Internship Description:
  • Responsible for the design and development of office chairs and components.
  • Perform Finite Element Analysis (FEA) as required.
  • Complete Design of Experiments (DOE).
  • Prepare Stack up Tolerances of analysis.
  • Communicate effectively with customers and external contacts.
  • Use mould flow analysis and interpretation of customer drawings/requirements to meet structural and cosmetic standards.
  • Be involved in Advanced Production Quality Planning activities.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Perform all administrative duties including but not limited to CAD work (experience in Pro E is a definite asset) and demonstrated ability using Microsoft Office products.
  • Provide clear concise engineering reports within given timelines.

Qualifications:

  • University degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • 1-4 years of experience.
  • Experience in a manufacturing setting with CAD and Pro E exposure.
  • Experience in Plastic Injection Moulding would be a definite asset.
  • Previous experience in performing FEA analysis and interpreting the results.
