...the Escher analysis at the end of the play produced one of those “wow!” moments that are all too rare in the classroom today.  Both non-mathematics teachers who saw the play and students came out saying they did not think mathematics could be so creative and interesting.  Quite a few weeks after seeing the play, one of my students recollected something about it as we approached a new topic in the classroom – and commented that she  “…remembered this from the math play”.  I highly recommend this to you and your students.  It is a unique and enjoyable way of connecting mathematics and the performing arts.
