Diamond Jubilee Medals awarded

Mitacs wishes to extend its congratulations to the 21 nominees that were awarded Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medals at a ceremony held in Ottawa on November 28, 2012. It was a night of celebration for many, as the Mitacs Awards Reception occurred only a few short hours after the Jubilee ceremony which was attended by several medal recipients.


The commemorative medal was created to mark the 2012 celebrations of the 60th anniversary of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II’s accession to the Throne as Queen of Canada, and serves to honour significant contributions and achievements by Canadians.
