Raymond Spiteri, a computer science professor at the University of Saskatchewan is recognized for his outstanding effort to facilitate more than 16 research collaborations with industry, and most recently the development of a game-changing virtual shopping avatar that accurately mirrors different body types and uses heat maps to help online shoppers visualize how clothes will fit. Spiteri was awarded the Mitacs award of Exceptional Leadership – Professor in Ottawa this week for his work.
