University of Saskatchewan's proffessor, Raymond Spiteri acilitate more than 16 plus research collaborations with industries. One of which resulted in the development of a game-changing virtual shopping avatar that accurately mirrors different body types and uses heat maps to help online shoppers visualize how clothes will fit.
According to a Mitacs media release, between 30 and 40 per cent of all clothing bought online is returned, mainly due to sizing. He aimed to put a dent in the massive number of online clothing purchases returned each year through his work, called "comfort map."
