Project Description:

Evaluate current payment transfer rates and develop a financial pricing model for new payment transfer rates in the future with open banking. 

Research Objectives:

  • Establish hypothesises of risks due to open banking
  • Build a computational tool with current pricing
  • Build out future plans with different declining rates on current model
  • New products entering and acceptance growth percentages

Methodology:

  • Look a pricing which is most at risks for banks
  • Data Science sophisticated pricing model

UK – “As much as 10% to 20% of banking profits could be at risk of disruption. Bain & Company estimates that within five years, £1 billion to £2 billion of annual pretax profits could be vulnerable to disintermediation.”
