Please describe the project.:
The selected researcher will be working in a small team, and will be inspired by sports analytics. The researcher will work in a project involving large social sciences datasets, machine learning, and natural language processing tools to better understand performance, attribution, and outcomes.
Required expertise/skills:
- comfortable with PostgreSQL, Python and JavaScript
- capable of using a broad range of scraping, analytics, and visualization tools using an AWS cloud environment
- strong mathematical and analytical skills and you can to apply those skills to traditionally non-quantitative domains
- a background in media, music, sports (including e-sports), politics, or performing arts would be an asset
