About the company:
KidsAbility is a leader in the delivery of pediatric rehabilitation services for the Region of Waterloo and County of Wellington. We serve 11,000 children annually with a variety of developmental, physical, and communication needs. Families rely on us for occupational therapy, physical therapy, speech and language services, and behavioural supports for children with autism.
Describe the project.:
Public service organizations like ours are under increasing resource pressures. Over the last 30 years in the pediatric rehabilitation sector, demand for services has grown at twice the rate of our revenue, leading to long wait times and an increased burden on care providers. New approaches are required.
In the private sector, most companies would address this challenge by investing in research and development. The public service sector doesn't have this luxury. We are interested in supporting research placements for graduate students to help improve our understanding of how research and development competencies can be developed and operationalized in the public service sector.
We'd be looking for Masters or PhD students across a range of disciplines.
