About the company:

tentree is a sustainable apparel company that plants ten trees for every item of clothing sold. tentree uses 98 percent preferred materials, is a B-Corporation and Climate Neutral Certified.

Describe the project.:

tentree aims to create Science Based Targets to ensure its climate positive ambitions.

The project will require data collection to support a Life Cycle Analysis of the company. By gathering data and conducting analysis on tentree’s supply chain, tentree can create accurate baseline targets. In order to create these baselines, tentree needs a standardized and systematic process which aligns with industry standards. The researcher will support the identification of industry standards and verification tools. One such tool is the Higg Index. The Higg Index includes a suite of tools which can help tentree to develop better strategies on waste, water and energy. The researcher will support the aggregation and disaggregation of different data streams for the Life Cycle Analysis report. The research will form part of an annual impact report. The report will form the foundations of tentree’s reporting on impact.
