Describe the project.: 

We are looking to fill our team with excited and passionate people who love new technologies and engineering.

As a part of the Industrial Engineering team, you would focus on solving complex problems, with a particular focus on manufacturing efficiency and production layout. You would be using Discrete Event Simulation software in deriving solutions and recommendations regarding different plant layout options.

The objective is to develop a corporate lean manufacturing strategy. The plant layout recommendations will become part of this strategy. The role of the Simulation Specialist combines knowledge about manufacturing, logistics, statistics, and simulation analysis to increase efficiency. The solutions are intended to improve current and future production plants. The successful candidate will be working together with others and will also need the ability to work autonomously.

Principle Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Assist with building an accurate simulation of the production process.
  • Assist with conducting plant layout and material flow studies.
  • Assist with analyzing the cycle time and throughput.

The project duration is flexible between 4 months to 1 year.

Required expertise/skills: 

  • Well acquainted with simulation software.
  • Ability to translate day-to-day activities into a simulation environment.
  • Thorough understanding of statistics.
  • Excel at analytical thinking.
  • Able to work consistently, meticulously, methodically, and with diligence.
  • Able to work independently and well with others.
