About the company:
Yukon Organics (YO) was created to solve the problem of access to high-quality foods in remote locations. YO is a new company that has been created to help improve food access to people who live in remote locations. YO has created an award-winning collaborative purchasing system, that can most easily be described as the troubleshooting and automation of traditional grassroots purchasing systems, with upgrades in communication, calculations, consistency, ease of operation, and distribution (https://yukonorganics.ca).
On one side, the YO platform operates as a wholesale organic bulk food store, while on the other, it is a networking hub and collaborative purchasing system so that everyone can offset the costs of format and shipping.
Describe the project.:
The project is to implement an iterative market entry & innovative growth strategy. The intern will create content, conduct market research using innovative methods, develop business strategy, and create an effective process for recruiting and onboarding new members to the SAAS (software as a service) platform.
A typical day might include creating content for conventional marketing, social media, or events, conversating with stakeholders about A/B test marketing approaches, and appropriately adapting content. On other days, the intern will spend time operating information/product booths at events such as festivals, inputting and interpreting financial data, pivoting in real-time, and assisting in a myriad of the small tasks that are required of a new venture.
The intern will be working closely with me (the founder) on optimizing and iterating both content and strategy to optimize the impact of this initiative. The most important metric being measured (outcome) for YO, is the number of new users registered to the platform. The outcome for the intern will be primary research techniques, data acquisition and interpretation, and interaction in program delivery.
