Captured Experience Imagery Inc. provides top-tier photographers for any event or experience, eliminating the need for our clients to research and vet photographers.

Here’s how it works: We contract photographers who we’ve already interviewed to photograph events for us, then when they’re done with the project, they send the photos to our production team who edits and returns them to the clients. We take care of all client communications, marketing, and back-end work. With this system, everyone is happy! Our clients love the good deal they’re receiving, our photographers don’t have to do any of the tedious work and only have to do the fun part, and we get to do what we love most: marketing!

Describe the project.: 

We are looking for a candidate to help us in our Public Relations (PR) and Social Media Content Creation (SM) efforts.

We’d like to have a rad individual build our PR portfolio and content creation strategy to help our company be discovered by a larger audience. The PR intern will develop an overarching strategy that will include execution to gain the founder interviews on podcasts, in magazines, and in blogs. They will research and prospect other PR opportunities for the company. This will be a full-time position.

Our content creation strategist will help us create tons of intriguing and eye-catching content for Instagram/Facebook, Tiktok, and Twitter. The content will include a mix of journalistic and videography skills and will emphasize quality over quantity.

Our main goal is to grow Captured Experience as an international service, providing not only photography but videography and photobooths. So regardless of where an event or experience is booked, our clients can find fully vetted, top-tier photographers. We currently are serving the Okanagan Region, and plan on growing our geographical area across BC and AB by next year. With the right talent to help us build our outreach strategy, we believe we can do this quickly.

The tasks of each role will be:

Public Relations

  • Respond to Help a Reporter Out (HARO).
  • Research blogs, magazines, and podcasts that we can reach out to for PR.
  • Research journalists who would likely listen to and engage with our story and keep a running list.
  • Pitch to journalists.

Social Media Content Creation

  • Curate new, eye-catching video & static content relevant to our brand based on the content calendar that we’ve created and our 5 areas of focus.

Required expertise/skills: 

Both SM & PM

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Self-starter & self-motivated
  • Open-minded and can adapt easily to change
  • Enjoys learning new things

SM only

  • Proficient in Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and Tiktok business tools & creative tools
  • Proficient with Canva
  • If not proficient, willing to learn and explore using online tutorials
