About the company: 

Warehoos is an online e-commerce store within the building materials industry. It currently operates in British Columbia with plans to service all provinces and territories in Canada.

Users are able to browse Warehoos’ catalog of building materials, access pricing and product support at a level similar to traditional lumber yards, and make purchases online. Warehoos also solves the last mile logistics challenge by also delivering the order to the customer’s desired destination.

The company is currently at a pivotal point in its operations after officially launching in March 2022. It is looking to develop additional capabilities on its online website to facilitate sales across the country, leading to the purpose of this request.

Describe the project.: 

This is a project intended to further develop the Warehoos website product with improved service delivery and processes. Currently, Warehoos is built with only the BC market in mind, with limited potential sales that come from people discovering the website organically across Canada.

By taking on this project, Warehoos will revamp the cart page, shipping logic, and user experience of the website to make selling easier for anyone in Canada wishing to purchase building materials online.

This project is split into 3 key deliverables for the candidate:

  • Website cart page redesign for better flexibility.  
  • Bespoke Shipping customizations to allow accurate shipping pricing by region, order size, etc.
  • Website redesign to allow for geolocation (separate pricing, shipping, and catalog) by region,

The candidate will be required to lead and perform vendor relationships, quality assurance, and reporting in relation to the 3 deliverables above.
