About the company:

Reformulary Group is a leading healthcare technology company in Canada. Its mission is to make more drugs more affordable for more Canadians. Reformulary Group built a proprietary drug formulary and turned into a subscription-based business. The most recognized third-party formulary (drug list) in Canada, the Reformulary scaled from one distribution channel in 2012, to five distribution channels, multiple strategic partners, over 1,000 corporates and unions, and about 300,000 Canadians – and growing. The Company has amassed big data sets, including prescription claims data for 20 million Canadians, and offers subscription-based data products to pharma companies, consulting companies, etc. They have also built and are launching real-world evidence (RWE) tools to collect and monetize much sought-after RWE data. Reformulary Group was founded and led by Helen Stevenson. Helen is the former Assistant Deputy Minister of Health and Executive Officer, Government of Ontario and led the most significant reforms to the prescription drug system in 50 years. The company is a privately-held, highly scalable company. It has a ten-member team with 100% female C-suite, located in downtown Toronto.

Describe the project.:

People are motivated to co-manage their care given the right supports. This includes tools to measure a person’s mental health, quality of life, and the impact of drug or other therapies on their symptoms and/or medical condition. While tools exist for healthcare professionals to collect some of this information, there is an absence of credible, clinically relevant tools for patients to track their own health, as you know you best™. That’s why it makes sense to enable patients to see how they are really feeling. So we developed meTrics™. meTrics comprises two real-world evidence (RWE) tools 1) Productivity tool, which is a bespoke tool measuring productivity related to either work and daily responsibilitie; and, 2) Quality-of-Life tool that measures four facets of quality of life: psychological, physical, social and environmental. Reformulary Group partnered with Cambridge University in the U.K. to develop the first-of-its kind Productivity tool. Both RWE tools will be available via an online platform; the platform is ready for deployment through an effective product launch roadmap/business plan. Our goal is to launch these survey tools into the Canadian market. The goal of the project is to develop a robust go-to-market (GTM) plan, including market testing (and of usage-based pricing model), launch roadmap and potentially leading pilot launch. The methodology/techniques to be used include strategic planning and go-to-market playbook.
