For economical and simplification purpose Operators in the Telecom market are looking to move as much as possible of their infrastructure from traditional deployment to Cloud deployment. However Cloud deployment of IMS still need to be defined and developed. This project aims at bringing further the knowledge for such a deployment and helping guide future development for Ericsson. This project focuses on providing future directions for the development of an IP Multimedia System (IMS) in a Cloud environment.

The central goal of this research project is to broaden measurement of school performance across Canada by developing, collecting, and measuring data on six performance indicators as follows: academic achievement, physical health, social-emotional development, creativity, citizenship, and school climate. Having developed competencies in these areas during phase one of the project, the current phase aims to begin the process of measuring the indicators of interest and reporting on results. Survey data will be collected and integrated with existing government data sources.

This Indigenous participatory research will work with community members from Garden Hill and Wasagamack First Nations to plan community development and work towards achieving sustainable livelihoods in their traditional territories. Research will consider traditional land use and occupancy, and how branding, community development, capacity-building and social enterprise development can lead to self-sustenance and prosperity. Future plans and enterprises must ensure a good life for these First Nation communities and consider opportunities for the youth, and women.

This project is a collaboration between the University of Victoria and Tecnoquímicas S. A., an industry leader in the production of pharmaceutical and household products in South America. The goal of the project is to
psychologically characterize the executive leadership of the company (i.e., CEO’s). Specifically, the intern will utilize and further develop her expertise to help the collaborative team understand how complex cognitive factors
such as intelligence, problem solving, strategic thinking, and creativity relate to one another and predict professional achievement.

Since low health literacy is associated with poor health outcomes (e.g., poor management of chronic diseases – like HIV), which impacts the cost of healthcare in Canada, the current project aims to mitigate the effects of low health literacy. A recent report released by the Ontario HIV Treatment Network (OHTN) highlighted that considering health literacy skills of health care providers is equally important as the users of information.

While chemotherapy drugs are effective in combating tumour growth in cancer patients, many such drugs permit the development of drug-resistant tumours and progression of the disease. We have observed that several chemotherapy agents induce the degradation of tumour cell ribonucleic acid (RNA) in the laboratory and in cancer patients. We have further shown that this RNA degradation is associated with complete tumour destruction after-treatment.

Our objective is to develop the new technics, based on the pioneers’ work, especially the Qoyyimi and Zitikis’s (2015) extension, which can have a good performance on measuring some kinds of relationship between students’ marks of subjects. In order to understand the relationship between students’ marks on different study subjects, many studies apply some kinds of indices, such as the Pearson correlation to measuring association between variables of interest in a variety of research areas, including education. We do some extension on this route.

Accessible, high-quality science education is central to positively shaping public opinion of science. Public perceptions and understandings of chemistry have often been associated with negative attitudes, misconceptions about the nature of chemicals, and sometimes misdirected anxieties about their effects on humans. These negative images are compounded by the fact that chemistry is under represented in science museums compared to the other major sciences.

This cross-sectoral research project will track the process of supporting four nascent community-based enterprises (CBEs) in indigenous communities in the Bolivian highlands, examining the complex interaction of factors that contribute to successful CBEs.
