The project aims to develop a formula of functional probiotics with immunomodulatory effects (substitution of antibiotics) and / or antioxidants and adapted to food in flour or granular form.
The project is part of an integrated service, starting with the selection of microorganisms and ending with the development of the production process book and the study of product stability, while passing through testing efficiency. The project can be structured as follows:
- Isolation and screening of strains
- Safety assessment (resistance to antibiotics, production of toxins, etc.)
- Functional characterization (ability to modulate the immune system, adhesion to mucus and / or epithelial cells, antimicrobial activity)
- Stress tolerance of the gastrointestinal tract (resistance to gastric acidity, resistance to bile salts, resistance to adhesion of pathogens)
- Production of the probiotic and formulation
- Stability study
- In vivo tests
NB: it is possible to test a product / strain directly without going through a screening operation if its effectiveness is already validated
