Developing biosensors for rapid detection of precious metals as well as heavy metals

Heavy metals can be found in diverse consumables like foods, cannabis,cosmetics, drinking water and so detection and identification of their concentration is an important concern for public health. Each country has its own regulations for permitted concentration which are considered as harmless for public health. The high concentration of heavy metals can cause several damages and causes toxicity for adults and children. Rapid detection of these molecules so is very important for industries and governmental organizations. The conventional methods for detection of these metals are expensive, need experienced person and are time-consuming. In this optic developing tools by using biological material or microorganisms is interesting to be used for rapid detection. This tools can be also used to detect precious metals like gold. The advantage of using this tool is easy to use and on site uses compared to conventional methods.
