Being able to quickly detect infected person helps reduce the risk of infecting others and it is especially important in environments like nursing homes where there is a high density of person at risk. Using an earpiece that work as a connected object, it is possible to monitor some signals such as cardiac rhythm, level of CO2, and cough.

This project aims to improve access to documentation and scientific research on women and development in Haiti. Indeed, knowledge availability and accessibility remain very limited on such issues domestically as well as for international stakeholders. It is worth noting that ENFOFANM which was the only existing documentation centre on women’s rights in Haiti was destroyed in the January 2010 earthquake and has not been rebuilt since.

Microelectromechanical Low-power Strain Sensor for structural health monitoring applications

Structural health monitoring (SHM) of airplanes requires very compact and low-power stain sensors. Therefore,

IPR wants to investigate how a commercial micro-fabrication process can be used to implement its MEMS sensor

Canada is in the very centre of the global energy storage revolution – a broad introduction of solid state battery technology for Electric vehicles, home use and power grid optimisation. At present, lithium-ion batteries use flammable liquid electrolytes and non-surface protected electrodes, which is expensive and potentially unsafe for the environment. This project aims to develop a new generation of safe and cheaper solid state batteries and fundamental understanding of storage mechanisms and structure-property-performance relationships.

Cependant, plusieurs de ces méthodes et modèles théoriques n’ont jamais été vérifiés empiriquement dans le cadre d’activités réelles de sélection du personnel. Ce projet vise à pallier partiellement ce manque en étudiant la validité prédictive de divers prédicteurs (personnalité, médias sociaux, capital psychologique) lorsque qu’un modèle récent de prédiction du comportement est appliqué.

This activity is not exclusive to drugs, but also applies to natural health products. Patient awareness of product safety is a major concern in Canada. Only about 5% of side effects experienced by Canadians are reported every year. This could be a danger to public health. Agencies, such as Health Canada, have specific rules in ensuring product safety.
