On estime que les troubles d’apprentissage spécifiques (TAS) touchent entre 5 et 15% des élèves (APA, 2013). Pour les enseignants et les orthopédagogues, un des défis qui se pose dans l’intervention auprès de ces élèves est celui de l’utilisation des données pertinentes de la recherche. On ne dispose actuellement pas d’outil permettrait de dresser un portrait ou de distinguer les textes pertinents des autres pour soutenir l’intervention auprès des élèves qui présentent un TAS.

IL-1-dependent ncRNA-based-therapy approach to enhance the bioactivity of endothelial progenitor cells in ischemic retinopathy: a new vasoprotective strategy

Retinopathy of prematurity (ROP) is the leading cause of blindness in premature neonates. ROP is associated with inflammation largely mediated trough interleukin (IL-1), which triggers an initial critical phase of ocular vascular degeneration. ROP is also an excellent model of ischemic retinopathies in general. The formation of new blood vessels after tissue ischemia is not only restricted to local endothelial cell proliferation, but lately shown to involve endothelial progenitor cells (EPCs) capable of forming a neovascular network on their own.

Development of machine learning and artificial intelligence based tools to improve efficiency in financial services - Year two

Our interactions with actors in the financial services industry, including our partner company, uncovered that they possess large amounts of data pertaining to investors and markets, but have yet to extract/learn information of significant value from that data such as expected actions by clients. The industry is conscious of this, but while they are making the needful investments in IT, they report lack of academic expertise in machine learning (ML) / artificial intelligence (AI) to unlock full potentials of such investments.

BIM (Building Information Modelling) and Supply Chain Planning inConstruction

In this project, we will consider construction supply chain management SCM within the context of BIM. The objective is to provide an automated BIM-based platform for construction supply chain planning. Using automatic data extraction from a BIM file, we will develop sophisticated supply chain optimization models that fit the reality of construction projects. Here, the critical decisions for CSC planning (strategic, tactical) are conducted in the early phase of planning based on data provided by BIM.

Optimization of fermentation and valorization of residual biomasses into enzymatic formulations for industrial cleaning products

The use of organic residual wastes as substrate to produce ingredients for cleaning formulations, such as enzymes, allows to decrease the carbon emission linked to the production of ingredients from fresh raw materials and to their transport. Furthermore, the Quebec policy for the management of residual wastes stipulates that in the year 2022 the landfilling of putrescible materials will be banned.
