This project aims to improve the efficiency of hydrogen fuel cell systems by testing and optimizing how they operate in real laboratory conditions. The work will be carried out at the Hydrogen Research Institute of Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières, using an experimental fuel cell test bench, and in collaboration with the Université internationale de Rabat. Instead of relying on long and costly trial-and-error testing, the project will use intelligent data-driven methods to quickly identify efficient operating conditions while reducing energy losses from auxiliary equipment such as air compressors and cooling systems. The project will benefit the Canadian host institution by advancing experimental expertise and modern optimization techniques in clean energy research, while strengthening international collaboration and training highly qualified personnel in hydrogen and fuel cell technologies.
