Directory of Resources

The Manitoba Islamic Association (MIA) provides opportunities for Muslims in Winnipeg to practice their faith. The MIA provides community educational programs for children and families, charity help to those in need and social and cultural programs in addition to religious services. With the influx of immigrants and refugees MIA has become a hub for information for these two groups. There is a need to create this resource directory to be able to quickly direct individuals in need of these services. The goal of this project will focus on low income families, and ensuring that they are provided with basic necessities. Also, the project will enhance the service delivery of food programs and financial assistance programs through the MIA, which means faster service to people who are looking to apply for any program or assistance through MIA.
