Imagination Audit Project

The Laboratory for Artistic Intelligence brings artists and artistic methods into parts of society where more imagination and creative approaches are needed. Chief Artistic Officer Helen Yung has a track record of introducing new ways of thinking about policy development in order to by-pass flawed assumptions and build effective solutions. During subsequent conversations with a stakeholder from the Office of the Privvy Council, the idea of The Imagination Audit emerged. It is a process by which abductive reasoning and divergent thinking—the consideration of possibilities—and the creative process are married together to generate insight and innovation within an organization or team. While the LAI has already validated the benefits of engaging in this process through pilot programs, two fundamental challenges remain. The first is to determine ideal participants for this process, and to further identify and articulate the value those participants would derive from it. The second is to continue to develop the form and deployment of the Imagination Audit to improve both access and adoption. Together, these are the “R&D” of the Laboratory for Artistic Intelligence. Expected deliverables include the articulation of a classic marketing mix—product, price, promotion and delivery model—as well as an actionable prospect list.
