Investigating the supply chain for raw materials used in the production of plant-based hair care products for afro-textured hair.

The proposed research project is set out to raise an awareness in the Black hair community and Black communities in Halifax and Canada by extension as regard the natural hair industry and what she can offer. I believe the afro texture hair is quite different from every other hair type out there and it is just fair that she also has natural haircare product that is tailor made for her to address her needs without necessarily cause any form of harm to the and body in a long run which is locally made and not imported. Therefore, this project is set to develop eco-friendly plant-based natural hair care products. This project is also set to bring light and address the hug gap that currently exist in the Canadian Black haircare market.
The partner organization can use this research to inform the broader communities about industrial trend and the impact of different present and emerging innovations and ideas on the haircare industry as well as foster the growth of innovative development within the Canadian economy.
