SeaGreen Solutions is partnering with the municipality to pilot a seaweed-based biochar product designed to improve soil health and support more resilient urban landscaping. The project will test the use of kelp-derived biochar in municipal flower pots and public green spaces to evaluate its ability to improve water retention, soil structure, and plant performance while potentially reducing watering and maintenance needs. This pilot will also help the municipality explore innovative, climate-conscious solutions that support sustainability and green infrastructure goals using a locally developed product from New Brunswick.
