Machine Learning for Ocean Data – Ocean Allies Project

MarineLabs provides super high resolution real-time wind, wave, and other data for marine safety and climate resilience by operating a North America wide fleet of compact, rugged, self-powered, marine IoT. With vast data accessible on the CoastAware cloud, MarineLabs is pursuing a number of Machine Learning opportunities. The MarineLabs MITACS internship is aimed to power-up one projects involving time series analysis of vessel wake patterns within the IoT data. The project will improve the effectiveness and accuracy of MarineLabs vessel wake detection services, ultimately catalyzing business activities in their services related to improving vessel traffic management around sensitive coastlines.
