Project Coordinator

The Digital Lab is an integrated unit of both BC Children’s Hospital and the UBC Faculty of Medicine’s Department of Pediatrics. In alignment with the vision of both organizations, we produce and manage a portfolio of digital innovation projects that aim to improve pediatric health and healthcare services; including research, education, health advocacy, and the delivery of clinical services.

To accommodate disruptions to our business environment as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, we have identified key areas to which an internship would be of key strategic value. The primary area the intern will be focusing on will be project management for digital innovation initiatives as well as strategy and operations management support within our internal operations and planning portfolio. Key activities to be taken to help restore and modify business operations will include but not limited to:

* Supporting core activities across the project life-cycle, from conceptualization to implementation and monitoring
* Implementing and monitoring operational processes related to project and portfolio management
* Identifying potential issues to project scope, timeline, and budget; analyzing, synthesizing and communicating data
* Conducting quality assurance on digital products as required to ensure value and accountability
