Solid waste management plan for Rosenort and Lowe Farm waste disposal sites

The waste generated in Rosenort and Lowe Farm communities is being unprofessionally disposed in disposal sites. The leachate produced from the waste is also being pumped into the surrounding grasslands and contaminate soil and groundwater. Hazardous waste and used oil are not properly stored, and there is a large volume of waste and mixed materials that are not allowed to be burnt in the burn cells. To address all these issues, landfill sites will be professionally designed, and an operation and maintenance plan will be provided. To manage the leachate, an evaporation leachate pond will be developed. This project can improve waste disposal from both environmental and economic aspects.
