Study of ongoing credit union consolidation in the Manitoba market – Me-Dian Credit Union

Me-Dian Credit Union seeks to investigate the impact of ongoing consolidation of credit unions in Manitoba and the impact on smaller credit unions in the Manitoba market. Ongoing credit union consolidation will have a crucial impact on the organization, but the degree and magnitude are unknown. This project aims to provide Me-Dian with an assessment of the changing competitive landscape and strategic options for navigating it. This would benefit Indigenous financial institutions such as Me-Dian, as well as Indigenous organizations wishing to support them. It would also benefit the underserved members of society that make up the majority of Me-Dians members.
