Towards Explainable and Reliable Large Language Models for Clinical Decision Support

This project aims to develop a reliable and easy-to-understand artificial intelligence tool that can help answer medical questions more safely and transparently. By improving how AI systems explain their answers, the project seeks to increase trust among healthcare professionals and patients while reducing the risk of incorrect or biased medical information. The collaboration between the home institution and Ontario Tech University will support knowledge exchange in responsible artificial intelligence and digital health, provide advanced research training for the trainee, and contribute to Canada’s leadership in ethical and trustworthy healthcare technologies.
