No, Mitacs does not offer any scholarships to cover university tuition fees. Our programs are designed to offer support to students conducting research projects.

In order to apply for Mitacs Accelerate projects, students would need both an academic partner and a non-academic partner (e.g. a partner organization such as a for-profit or not-for-profit corporation) who would also be benefiting from the research.

Mitacs cannot support an internship in which the intern is doing work they were previously doing as an employee or contractor.
