Quantum Technologies : Quantum technology applies the principles of quantum mechanics (Quantum Science) — primarily quantum entanglement, superposition, or tunneling — to build new technologies whose performance depends on one or multiple quantum principles. The three main verticals include:
• Quantum computation (hardware), algorithms, and software
• Quantum communication, networks, and cryptography
• Quantum metrology, sensing, imaging, and materials.
Under the joint supervision of a home and host professor, successful senior undergraduate students, graduate students, as well as postdoctoral fellows will receive:
If a Mitacs international partner is involved in the project:
It is open to all universities in Canada and no co-funding is required of the Canadian university.
For more details on international partners eligibility, please see “International partners information” tab.
