Digital Marketer at Loonie Times

The proposed project is for a Canadian organization named Loonie Times that operates in a niche market of mascot and plush manufacturing. In this project, the focus is solely on digital media as the majority of the companies in this sector use Google Ads and social media to generate new sales. Being a digital marketing intern, I will be responsible for developing a robust funnel of sales leads by designing and implementing the complete social media strategy for the organization. Google Ads & Analytics, email marketing, blogs, and content marketing will be the core tactics for developing the social media strategy. The project is expected to benefit the organization by establishing the most cost-effective digital marketing tactics which would add to the company’s sustainability as well as developing a long-term plan regarding the future social media investment.

Digital Marketing and Business Development Associate

I will be working as a Digital Marketing and Business Development Associate at VoltSafe – a startup that is on a mission to change how the world connects to energy with its prong-less magnetic electrical plugs. The company recently launched its first commercial project and is focused on building sales and developing its second product. However, due to Covid, typical strategies of building in-person relationships and doing product presentations to promote sales are difficult. As such, I will be responsible for taking on a list of projects related to the company’s Digital Marketing Strategy like developing and executing its Social Media and Ambassador Strategy, its E-commerce Strategy, its Digital Advertising Strategy, and optionally its Public Relations/Media Strategy and B2B/Wholesale strategy.

Data analysis and image processing for livestock identification

OneCup provides cattle management solutions to the livestock industry. Our AI is called BETSY – Bovine Expert Tracking and Surveillance. Using artificial intelligence, we put a rancher’s skillset into a device the size of a small book. With several types of cameras, BETSY can ID and track cattle activity 24×7. For example, she can track an animal’s growth over a season, or determine if an animal is suffering from a disease or lameness. When BETSY finds something that requires human intervention, she texts or emails a human immediately. Combined with historical tracking, a rancher can access a detailed view of a herd’s entire history, down to the individual animal level.

Forest Stewardship Group Development: Part II

RENEWAL

First step: developing a proposal of services that Ecotrust-Canada could provide to FSC Canada, involving identification of services needed, and how EC could deliver them while maintaining alignment with their mission. Next step: presenting supply-chain clusters and marketing infrastructure options to relevant associations, gauging their interest and obtaining feedback – one or both of these options may then move forward. Research into feasibility and appropriateness of these options will be needed, along with the identification of funding options and the development of project proposals. Research will be conducted to assess the benefits/feasibility of developing a joint FSC-carbon credit validation program. Interest in the project, potential funders and partners will also need to be established. Initiatives can be implemented by spring of 2013. Implementation of these program activities will result in additional revenues, increased values to members, and will help to ensure long-term sustainability of services to the FSC program.
