Call for proposals: launch of the Scholarship for Internship in a Practice Environment FRQ-Mitacs Accelerate program

Mitacs and Le Fonds de recherche du Québec (FRQ) are pleased to renew their partnership agreement to support the next generation of student researchers in the Society and Culture sector by providing them with work experience opportunities in practice environments.

The Scholarship for Internship in a Practice Environment FRQ-Mitacs Accelerate program offers scholarships to graduate students pursuing studies in one of the research areas within the FRQ’s Society and Culture sector, and aims to:

  • provide interns with practical work experience during which they can apply their research knowledge;
  • foster bilateral exchanges and collaboration between the research community and the parapublic, public and private sectors;
  • support practice environments in their efforts to integrate master’s or doctoral research program students into the job market.

Important information:

  • Application deadline: March 31, 2027, or until funds are exhausted
  • Amount offered: between $13,000 and $15,000
  • Funding duration: 4 to 6 months
