Mitacs and Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada sign national partnership

Ottawa, ON – This morning, Mitacs and the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council (NSERC), signed a memorandum of understanding to collaborate on the delivery of complementary research programs. 

The partnership formalizes the working relationship between Mitacs and NSERC and provides university researchers and their industry partners with greater flexibility in accessing programs offered by both organizations.

Through stronger coordination, researchers and companies will be able to develop comprehensive research and training plans, which will foster innovation in Canada.

The following programs are included in the agreement:

  • Mitacs Accelerate,
  • Mitacs Elevate,
  • Mitacs Globalink,
  • Mitacs Step,
  • NSERC Engage Grants,
  • NSERC Collaborative Research and Development Grants (CRD), and
  • NSERC Collaborate Research and Training Experience program (CREATE).
