Mitacs launches Globalink survey

Vancouver, BC — Mitacs is pleased to announce the launch of our longitudinal survey for Globalink Research Interns. This review will be the first to tackle long term impacts of Globalink Research Internships. This study builds on the success of previous surveys, including the Accelerate longitudinal intern survey and, more recently, the Accelerate longitudinal business partner survey.

The Mitacs Globalink Research Internship is a competitive initiative for international undergraduates from Brazil, China, India, Mexico, Saudi Arabia, Turkey and Vietnam. Each year, top-ranked applicants participate in a 12-week research internship under the supervision of Canadian university faculty members in a variety of academic disciplines.

Mitacs values the feedback provided by all past partners and participants of our programs. Such feedback allows for continual program evaluation and improvements.

Mitacs is committed to excellence in reporting on the outcomes for past interns, as well as industry partners and university researchers, in order to demonstrate the impact Mitacs is having on broad Canadian goals.

We look forward to sharing the results of this important work in the months ahead. Questions related to Mitacs’ expansive evaluation efforts may be directed to Véronique Dugas, Evaluation Officer at vdugas@mitacs.ca.
