Amy Bender received a Mitacs Award for her first-of-its-kind online tool that helps athletes identify sleep disturbances and improve their performance.

Caitlin Miron, a PhD student who uncovered a way to prevent the spread of cancer cells, received the Mitacs Award for Outstanding Innovation.  

Qingwang Yuan, a postdoctoral fellow from the University of Regina, received a Mitacs Award for developing a computer model that significantly improves the enhanced oil recovery process, allowing oil companies to recover the most oil possible from large reservoirs.
