The Oakville Centre for Vision (OCV) is committed to advancing optometric care by streamlining refractive procedures, a critical yet often inefficient component of private practice operations hampered by inconsistent protocols, uneven clinical training, and fragmented management systems. In collaboration with Sheridan College’s Centre for Applied AI (CAAI), the Refraction Co-Pilot Platform project will deliver an integrated digital solution featuring three core modules: (1) a dynamic educational hub in advanced refraction techniques (2) real-time operational dashboards; and (3) marketing and lead-generation tools. The project will produce a scalable technological backbone equipped to evolve alongside practice needs. Upon completion, the Refraction Co-Pilot Platform will empower clinicians with standardized education, data-driven decision support, and enhanced patient communication capabilities, resulting in more efficient workflows, reduced procedural errors, and higher levels of patient satisfaction, positioning OCV at the forefront of innovation in optometric care.
