A Multi-Layer Security Framework for Protecting Electric Vehicles Charging Infrastructure

The proposed project aims to enhance the security of Electric Vehicle (EV) Charging Infrastructure by developing advanced systems that detect and prevent cyber-attacks. The project will focus on building an Intrusion Detection System (IDS) and an Intrusion Prevention System (IPS) to protect against threats like Man-in-the-Middle (MiTM) and Denial of Service/Distributed Denial of Service (DoS/DDoS) attacks. The expected benefit to the participating institutions, including research centres and universities, is the advancement of knowledge in cybersecurity, along with the development of innovative solutions that can improve the safety and reliability of the growing EV infrastructure.
