Assessing Market for Marine Yeasts in Aquafeeds, Brewing, Baking, By-Products, and Pharmaceuticals Canadian Industries.

Yeast is a single celled micro-organism that converts carbohydrates to carbon dioxide and alcohols through the process of fermentation. Yeast is very useful in many industries and there are no local producers of yeast in Canada. This research will focus on optimizing the growth of selected marine yeast strain isolated from the marine environment for commercialization and assessing the market for marine yeast users across different industries from the Aquafeeds industry to the brewing, baking, by-products, and pharmaceutical industries.
