BC Parks Foundation Internship – Lauchlan Scott

The objectives of this project are to assist in the development, testing and implementation of a digital park visitation platform and associated in-park experiences designed for people that are new to nature. The key question is how to welcome more people into nature without undermining its ecology and creating health and safety risks. A sub-question is how to decrease barriers and increase inclusivity for people of colour in parks.
I plan to help the organization through the following key activities:
• target market research and on-going dialogue/feedback
• development of inclusive language and communications
• development of inclusive guided experiences
• development of training materials for ambassadors and partners
• input into digital user interface / experience
