The Outdoor Recreation Council of British Columbia identifies that there is a need for an analysis of the value that outdoor recreation brings to British Columbians. The Intern will work on collating and reviewing existing socio-economic studies of the outdoors and identify gaps in order to lay the foundation for a future comprehensive multi-faceted socio-economic study. A better understanding of the socio-economic benefits of outdoor recreation will help the public outdoor recreation sector in future advocacy efforts and negotiations with government and industry.
