Business Development and Marketing Intern

Sport Product Testing offers a comprehensive of testing and validation services for companies health and wellness industry. The internship project is aimed at improving the visibility and reach of Sport Product Testing to small and medium enterprises. To address this, SPT is looking to bring on a master’s in biomedical technology student to help enhance their marketing and business development strategy, thus increasing exposure and building stronger relationships with SMEs. The current challenge is not just about routine marketing efforts but specifically strategically positioning the organization within relevant industry networks and creating long-term engagement opportunities. The intern will develop a marketing and outreach plan that is targeted to the health and wellness industry, specifically highlighting Canadian small and medium enterprises. With guidance from the industry sponsor and academic supervisor, the intern will create marketing strategy documents, identify small and medium enterprises that would benefit from Sport Product Testing’s services, develop and execute a targeted marketing and outreach strategy, and produce long term marketing and outreach plans. These tasks will improve the current marketing and outreach efforts of Sport Product Testing. There will be increased exposure of Sport Product Testing in the health and wellness industry, specific to the local market. This internship project will help grow the reach of Sport Product Testing overall, and will provide potential leads and new business. The intern will also assist in planning, promoting, and executing a networking event at Sport Product Testing. This will be beneficial for Sport Product Testing as there will be key industry stakeholders and potential partners at the event, which will increase their visibility and provide awareness about the services they offer.
