CiviPress: Developing Deployment Infrastructure for a Secure CiviCRM / WordPress SaaS Offering

CiviCRM is an open source constituent relationship management system used by over 11,000 non-profit organizations around the world. Although about 170 host more than 250k records, about a quarter are used by small non-profits with between 2,500 and 10,000 contacts. These organizations maintain sensitive personal information including donation information, event attendance, volunteering data, and case records. As small and medium sized enterprises they are often targets of cybercriminals. This project will aim to develop a highly secure software as a service offering for non-profits including Transparent Date Encryption of data at rest, and automated deployment of new instances of CiviCRM/WordPress.
