Development of a Ground Model for a Low-Cost Flight Simulator

The proposed research project relates to the development of a flight simulator for the low-cost hobbyist market. The industrial partner has developed a widely-used simulator and is interested in making their simulator more independent of third-party software. This will be done by developing in-house sub-models for the flight physics that calculates the aircraft behaviour while taxiing on the ground, as well as takeoff and landing interactions. The intern will gain important and relevant experience in software development and aircraft mechanics.
