Learn MoreLa pollution des eaux par les produits pesticides présente un problème environnemental bien identifié par les pouvoirs publics. L’objectif général de ce projet est de développer un procédé électrolytique à l’échelle du laboratoire pour décontaminer des effluents agricoles contenant des pesticides. Pour ce faire, l’électro-oxydation est une application des propriétés électrochimiques pouvant être efficacement utilisée pour éliminer simultanément divers types des composés organiques par oxydation directe ou indirecte. Elle permet l’oxydation d’un grand nombre de molécules organiques contenues dans l’eau. Les techniques électrolytiques pourront être utilisées soit comme technique de prétraitement oxydatif conduisant à des composés facilement biodégradables, soit comme méthode de traitement tertiaire pour l’élimination ou la minéralisation complète des produits phytosanitaires.
