Digitizing Medical History: French Validation of FirstHx Primary Care Tools

FirstHx wishes to validate the French component of its’ in-person patient facing digital medical interview solution, which could be offered to clinicians and practitioners as a means of empowering patients, reducing time of clinical documentation, improve efficiency while increasing quality of care. Researchers from the UMoncton have the expertise and resources to validate our AI driven algorithm not only through their large 24 bed hospital simulation lab but also in collaboration with MDs during patient-facing consultations. The researcher can also ensure that the francophone component adheres to clinical triage guidelines while monitoring the logic, relevancy, usefulness, and efficiency of the tool. Since dialects vary from region to region and province to province, we also wish to ensure that our linguistic process is easily understood by both healthcare professional and patient. A two-phase mixed-method approach will be applied. Phase 1-non-patient facing will be conducted in the simulation lab at the university of Moncton. Phase 2- Patient facing: In collaboration with a private clinic (Energii) in the Moncton area the French medical history tools from the phase one will be pilot with patient from the clinic Energii. The same mixed-method approach will be conducted.
