Distributed computing using multi-CPU/GPU clusters

In this project, we want to study the automated verification and deployment of a Command, Control, Communications, Computers (C4) infrastructure to improve communications and logistics in healthcare facilities treating COVID-19 patients. The assistance of such a flexible ICT infrastructure can play a key role in successfully implementing the fifths “S” within medical personnel operations. However, such an infrastructure is subject to sophisticated adversity with profound impact on patients and public health.
Humanitas Solutions and its partners are already working toward a first pilot deployment based on a prototype version of C4 infrastructure in a COVID-19 facility.
This research project aims to improve the existing infrastructure by developing resource allocation strategies in a highly heterogeneous environment. Another key aspect behind the solution revolves around system resilience, failure detection and emergency resource allocation.
